This HoloLens application overlays a real machine part with a virtual projection with information attached to it. The user can choose between different machine parts that offer different tutorials. After selection the user is asked to dock the view on the real world object until it snaps in. The now showing UI guides the user through the different tutorial steps, assisting with text, image, video, audio and animation.
The prototype was build in a small group with two developers. The project was part of a cooperation with Siemens Healthineers. The SOMATOM CT is used as the machine the technicians should be trained on.
The technologies used are Unity and the VisionLib framework for 3D object tracking.
