Since October 2020, I am working as a research assistant at the BHT Berlin. My research interest is in computer supported remote collaboration on physical objects. For this case, among others, we aim to utilize the possibilities of augmented reality (AR). We also study how to use vibrotactile impulses in order to transport haptic properties or as a communication tool.

Projects that are already published are linked in the publications section on the main page - definitely take a look! Below, a short description of publications where I was the first author can be found.

A Survey of Computer-Supported Remote Collaboration on Physical Objects (Full Paper)

Structured literature review about the state of research on remote collaboration on physical objects. Finding increasing amount of work in that field, diversification of applied technologies and low amount of research on asynchronous as well as mutual collaboration. Springer Link

Tangible Version Control: Exploring a Physical Object’s Alternative Versions (Short Paper)

Version control is a great feature for working with digital content, it probably would be beneficial for physical objects as well. Concept for a version control system that allows to explore digital alternative versions of a physical object by using the physical artifact itself and employing augmented reality. ACM DL

Comparing Screen-Based Version Control to Augmented Artifact Version Control for Physical Objects (Full Paper)

Extended research on version control systems for physical content. In a user study, we showed that using augmented reality for comparing alternative versions of a physical object has significant benefits compared to a second screen display. However, use of current augmented reality hardware also results in poor usability. Springer Link
