Game project developed over one semester in a team at the university during bachelor studies. The very first game I took a part in. Written in Java using libGDX. BEGRROL is an asymmetric multiplayer game that combines battle royal features with a game master role. The players were supposed to survive in a battle-royale style arena which required them to eat food, gather materials, craft items, fight wolves and other players, until the last player standing wins the round. A toxic fog closes in on the world after some time. A gamemaster would oversee the match and could interfere by dropping loot, spawning wolves or caging players.

The rich amount of features for the project were mostly reached, but it suffered badly from networking issues, which made it difficult to play the game with more than 4 users taking part. This also hindered proper balancing.

My part in the project was the creation of assets. Therefore, I created every asset from scratch and developed a cartoony look that would work with 2D Tilemap. The world should have different biomes. The environment should further be animated, for example the grass or water. Lastly, character and weapon animations were created.

Besides asset creation minor programming tasks were covered by me, like the creation of a main menu and a crafting table.
